Hi, I'm Emily!
I’m not too different from the clients I work with. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been through immensely wonderful and profoundly difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I approach the helping process. My life experiences are what led me to become the therapist I am today.
I’m a Licensed Clinical/Independent Social Worker who thrives working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationships, and the number of other challenges faced on the daily. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed and lost, and to start facilitating the positive change you so desperately desire.
I know how hard it is to juggle a relationship, marriage, family, academics and/or career. I know the struggles of trying to embrace individuality while also cultivating a sense of belonging within a community. I know how difficult it may be to practice boundaries in certain areas of life, expressing yourself fully and consistently, and owning who/how you are. I understand what it’s like to be overwhelmed with stress, worry, sadness, guilt/shame, and hopelessness. I’ve also felt like I’d been missing something in my life or were half the person I so desperately wanted to be.

Finding a good therapist can be hard. That’s why I’m here to make the process as fluid and comfortable as possible. I like humanizing the counseling process, cultivating a comfortable yet equally challenging therapeutic relationship that meets you where you are, but pushes you outside your comfort zone to make the changes necessary.
I Can Teach You
the Tools and Strategies Needed

to guide you towards your pre-existing potential, improve your confidence, strengthen the connectedness with yourself and others, manage your emotions, and feel more engaged in a purpose-driven and fulfilling life that you enjoy.
As a Therapist, I Embrace the Following Philosophies:

• We deserve to feel better
• We only heal if we create space to listen to what we need and take care of ourselves
• Emotions heal when they are witnessed and validated
• We can do hard things. And in doing so, we can live better lives
• Even if we feel like we’ve lost hope, it’s possible to show up, commit to our growth, and do what it takes to start feeling better
